Screenshots shared with FOX40.com by someone who saw a post about it on the Nextdoor app show a doormat with the animal’s head on it and what appears to be several bloodstains on the mat and the surrounding ground.

The homeowner, who wishes to remain anonymous, shared a Ring video with FOX40.com that reportedly shows someone dressed in a hoodie walking toward the front door of the home.

Police said investigators have taken photos of the incident and will investigate it as a possible hate crime, calling the behavior “abnormal.”
