The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) hosted MSNBC Live: Democracy 2024, an event filled with anchors and experts from the news network discussing the issues affecting the November presidential election.

Rachel Maddow, Jen Psaki, Chris Hayes and Joy Reid were among the many experts who took the stage on Saturday, September 7.

The event included multiple screenings of the documentary From Russia with Levwhich was produced by Maddow. The film follows the larger-than-life journey of Lev Parnas, a Ukrainian-born con man and former mob boss whose random, almost accidental association with Donald Trump and his lawyer Rudolph Giuliani took him around the world and ultimately to prison.
