INTERPOL-led operation targets fraudulent online store servers. Approximately 5,300 malicious IP addresses, 80 URLs, and 1,155 victims have been identified as part of a regional operation in Southeast Asia. The scammers met victims through social dating apps and lured them into doing business on the fraudulent trading website. Authorities arrested five individuals in Hong Kong and Singapore. Operation THUNDERBREAK, launched in November 2023, covered China & Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
