Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:

Hour 1

Special Guest Jonathan Emord

In this Sacred Fire of Liberty edition of The Robert Scott Bell Show, I’m joined by Jonathan Emord as we dive into the pressing issues threatening our liberties. We kick off the show by celebrating the launch of the Long COVID Masterclass—an event we’ve all been waiting for—where I sat down with some of the brightest minds, including Jonathan, to dissect the constitutional challenges we’ve faced and chart a course forward. We also give a nod to the upcoming Trinity Health Freedom Expo, a gathering that’s all about empowering people to take control of their health.

But we don’t stop there. We take on the insanity coming out of the Democratic National Convention, where we see everything from mobile abortion clinics to a disturbing rise in anti-Israel rhetoric. The moral decay is real, and we’re here to expose it. Jonathan and I break down how these radical agendas are eroding the values that built this nation, and we don’t mince words when it comes to calling out the dangerous path we’re on.

We wrap up by shining a light on the economic destruction caused by government overreach and misguided policies like price controls. History has shown us where this leads, and it’s not pretty. We’re here to remind everyone that standing firm on our foundational principles is the only way to preserve liberty and economic stability in these challenging times. The power to heal—and to protect our freedoms—is still yours.

For the past 37 years, Jonathan W. Emord has litigated against the federal bureaucracy, winning over and over again. Ron Paul calls Jonathan “an expert in constitutional theory and history” and “an expert litigatorwith a long string of legal victories over the federal bureaucracy.” George Noory calls him “a Knight in Shining Armor” and “a warrior out to save our rights.” Congressmen Dan Burton and John Doolittle describe him as “an intellectual warrior for the rights and freedoms of people in America.” Jonathan has a unique, detailed knowledge of the federal bureaucracy, the deep state. He knows how to defeat it. Jonathan graduated from the University of Illinois (BA, political science and history, 1982) and DePaul University College of Law (JD, 1985). He served as an attorney in the Federal Communications Commission during the Reagan administration. A leading constitutional law and litigation expert, he is the author of five critically acclaimed books. He has won more cases against the Food and Drug Administration in federal court than any other attorney in American history, earning him the nickname “FDA Dragon Slayer.” He is a columnist for Townhall.com, PJ Media.com, Americangreatness.com, and the U.S.A. Today Magazine. He frequently appears on national radio and television programs. He is married to Sheryl Emord, and they have two children, twins Justice and Angelica. Reuters Focus Group: Undecided Voters Lean Trump 2-to-1 After Debate A Reuters focus group following the recent debate showed that six out of ten undecided voters are now leaning towards supporting Donald Trump in the 2024 election. Despite pundits favoring Kamala Harris in the debate, Trump gained more support due to voters feeling he addressed key issues like the economy more convincingly. Many respondents criticized Harris for providing vague answers, particularly regarding economic solutions and her policies, which they felt did not differ enough from those of President Joe Biden. A New York Times survey similarly found that Trump’s pitch was more persuasive, especially on economic matters. Some voters who were initially leaning towards Harris said the debate swayed them towards Trump due to his commanding presence and clearer focus on key issues like inflation and the high cost of living. This shift highlights the importance of economic concerns in the 2024 election, with Trump’s performance resonating more strongly with undecided voters, especially men.

Independent voters surprise pollster with reactions to Trump’s debate performance: ‘Didn’t expect it’ A Fox News focus group revealed that independent votersaligned closely with Republicans on key issues during Trump’s debate performance. The dials, which monitored voter reactions in real-time, showed that independents responded favorably to Trump’s stance on immigration, rising crime, and the economy. Pollster Lee Carter expressed surprise at the intensity of independent support, noting that independents were seeking clear solutions on immigration and economic improvement. Trump’s comments about the migrant crisis resonated particularly well, with one independent voter from New York highlighting the negative impact of immigration on the city’s safety. Although independents expressed dissatisfaction with Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, they, along with Democrats and Republicans, strongly supported his pledge to cut taxes and create a strong economy. The analysis suggests that Trump’s clear messaging on pressing issues like crime and immigration may sway independent voters, a key demographic in the upcoming election.

Kamala Harris Pledges To Soak the Wealthy—But Her Policies Have Enriched Them Kamala Harris has positioned herself as a champion of the middle class, promising to make the wealthy pay their fair share. However, her policies have largely benefited the rich and corporations. Under the Biden-Harris administration, corporate subsidies have skyrocketed, with the budget allocation for subsidies surpassing $2 trillion by 2024. The 2022 CHIPS and Science Act alone funneled billions to large corporations, while the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) disproportionately benefited a small number of major companies. Additionally, consumer subsidies for electric vehicles primarily aid high-income earners, with nearly 80% of those claiming EV tax credits earning over $100,000 annually. Harris’ student loan forgiveness initiatives have also faced criticism for disproportionately benefiting wealthy individuals, particularly professionals like lawyers and physicians. The American Rescue Plan further favored higher-income families through the expanded Child Tax Credit, providing larger benefits to households earning over $200,000. Despite her rhetoric, Harris’ policies have consistently enriched the wealthy while leaving middle- and lower-income Americans behind.

Texas Border City Hotel Shut Down After Alleged Tren de Aragua Gang Activity A Texas judge has ordered the shutdown of the Gateway Hotel in El Paso following nearly700 calls for police service and reports of gang activity linked to the Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan criminal organization. City officials filed a lawsuit against the hotel’s owners, citing a lack of a valid certificate of occupancy for six years and ongoing public safety concerns due to the hotel’s failure to address criminal behavior, including drug use, violence, and illegal dumping. Surveillance footage from the hotel shows individuals wielding weapons and engaging in violent acts, including a gun being fired, in front of children. El Paso Police reported that several Venezuelan migrants at the hotel displayed tattoos identifying them as members of the Tren de Aragua gang. Judge Maria Salas-Mendoza granted a temporary injunction to close the hotel, with a full hearing scheduled for December 9. The hotel’s closure highlights the growing concerns about criminal activity along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Defend Natural Health Game Changer! A recent Supreme Court ruling that overturned the Chevron doctrine has created a more favorable environment for natural health products by limiting the overreach of federal agencies like the FDA and FTC. The Chevron doctrine, established in 1984, allowed agencies to interpret ambiguous laws with broad authority, often stifling natural health initiatives. However, a new bill, SB 4749, introduced by Senator Elizabeth Warren, aims to reinstate the Chevron doctrine and restore the agencies’ power to interpret laws when statutes are unclear. The natural health community sees this bill as a threat to the freedoms gained from the Supreme Court’s ruling. Proponents of natural health argue that reinstating the doctrine would allow the FDA and FTC to continue restricting access to health information about supplements and natural products, often requiring expensive clinical trials that smaller companies cannot afford. The article urges action to oppose SB 4749 and protect the recent legal gains that favor natural health by encouraging the public to reach out to Congress.

Hour 2

Big Pharma’s Rap Sheet The pharmaceutical industry has a long history of illegal activities, including manufacturing adulterated drugs, misleading marketing, and bribery. Between 2003 and 2016, 85% of thelargest pharmaceutical companies faced financial penalties totaling $33 billion. Major players like Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, and Johnson & Johnson have paid billions in fines for violating laws related to drug safety and marketing. These companies often settle cases without admitting guilt, allowing them to continue profiting while minimizing accountability. High-profile cases, such as the Vioxx scandal, highlight how companies manipulate scientific data and intimidate critics to protect their profits. In the Vioxx case, Merck delayed withdrawing the drug despite evidence linking it to thousands of heart attacks, leading to an estimated 88,000 to 139,000 excess cases of heart attack or sudden death in the U.S. The article argues that Big Pharma’s tactics undermine trust in the industry and calls for more transparency and accountability to prevent future abuses, especially as new cases related to COVID-19 vaccines emerge.

Nearly 1 in 4 Americans know someone addicted to opioids, survey finds A nationwide survey conducted by Northeastern University reveals that 23% of Americans know at least one person struggling with opioid addiction, with the figure rising to nearly half in states like West Virginia. The survey, part of the Civic Health and Institutions Project (CHIP50), highlights the widespread social impact of the opioid epidemic, which claimed over 107,000 lives in the U.S. last year. The report points to significant disparities based on geography, education, and race, with white, rural, and less-educated individuals more likely to know someone addicted to opioids. In contrast, urban and more educated populations, such as Asian Americans, are less affected. The data also shows a correlation between the opioid crisis and diminished trust in institutions, as areas hit hardest by opioid addiction have also seen lower vaccination rates during the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings suggest that the opioid crisis has had far-reaching effects on families and communities, amplifying distrust in healthcare systems and intensifying social challenges..

Inflammatory Disease – Implicated in So Many Conditions The article argues that many conditions labeled as distinct diseases, such as arthritis, bronchitis, colitis, and others ending in “-itis,” are actuallymanifestations of the same underlying issue—inflammation. The author suggests that these conditions are not truly separate diseases but different symptoms of systemic inflammation caused by factors like deficiency, toxicity, stress, and chronic muscle tension. Modern medicine often treats symptoms with drugs rather than addressing the root causes of inflammation. The article advocates for a holistic approach to healing, focusing on nutrition, detoxification, stress management, and restoring energetic flow. By addressing the underlying causes of inflammation, the body can heal multiple conditions at once, supporting the idea that true healing involves treating the person, not just the symptoms. The piece emphasizes the need to rethink how diseases are categorized and treated, suggesting that a focus on inflammation could unlock new possibilities for treating chronic conditions.

Are the toxic metals in tampons harmful? FDA launches research to learn risk The FDA has launched a research project to investigate the potential health risks posed by toxic metals such as arsenic, mercury, and lead found in tampons. This research follows a July study by Columbia University and UC Berkeley, which detected these metals in various tampon brands. Although the study could not determine whether the metals cause harm, the widespread use of tampons—by up to 80% of menstruating women in the U.S.—makes understanding these risks a priority. The Democratic Women’s Caucus has urged the FDA to ensure that women are not exposed to harmful substances from tampons, citing the average use of around 7,400 tampons over a woman’s lifetime. The FDA’s lab study will measure how much of the metals might be absorbed by the body during use, with the agency aiming to provide a thorough risk assessment based on worst-case exposure scenarios. A comprehensive review of the literature will also help determine any potential health impacts of these chemicals.

Glyphosate in manure-based fertiliser ruins tomato crops – study A study from Finland has revealed that glyphosate residues found in manure-based fertilizers are causing significant damage to tomato crops. The research was triggered by an incident in which a Finnish tomato grower reported damage to their crops after using poultry manure fertiliser. Tests revealed high levels of glyphosate in the manure. The researchers grew 72 tomato plants using two different fertilisers, one containing higher levels of glyphosate (0.94 mg/kg) and another with lower levels (0.23 mg/kg). The results showed that the yield of tomatoes grown with the higher glyphosate level was 35% smaller than those grown with the control fertiliser. The study raises concerns about the contamination of organic and conventional farming practices, as manure-based fertilisers are often marketed as suitable for certified organic production. The researchers call for stricter testing and regulation of recycled fertilisers to ensure they are free from harmful levels of pesticides like glyphosate, which can have negative impacts on crop yields and food safety.

Mars Missions May Be Blocked by Kidney Stones Long-duration space missions, such as those planned for Mars, could be hindered by the high rate of kidney stones found in astronauts. Kidney stones form due to an imbalance in the body’s handling of water, salts, and minerals, which is exacerbated by the effects of microgravity. As bones degrade faster in space, calcium levels in the bloodstream increase, heightening the risk of stone formation. A recent study published in Nature Communications found that not only microgravity but also cosmic radiation contributes to kidney dysfunction, affecting the kidney tubules responsible for regulating salts and minerals. Researchers analyzed data from astronauts as well as rodent studies conducted both in space and on Earth, isolating the impact of these environmental factors. The study’s findings suggest that future Mars missions will need to address the risk of kidney stones, possibly through preventive treatments or changes in mission planning, as these stones pose a serious health risk to astronauts in space.
