Seers attack Akhilesh for 'mathadheesh' remark

Lucknow: Seers of various sects on Thursday slammed SP leader Akhilesh Yadav for saying there was no difference between a “mathematics And mafia“.
Mahant Durga Das of Shri Panchayati Akhara Udasin Nirvana termed Akhilesh’s statement “highly objectionable”.
“All saints are heads of the monastery; everyone has a chair. A head of the monastery is compared to God in Sanatan Dharma“Linking the head of the monastery to the mafia is a sign of superficiality,” he said.
Mahant Yogesh Puri Maharaj, Shri Mankameshwar Temple, Agra, said, “If Akhilesh says there is no difference between the head of the monastery and the mafia, he should first look at himself. What has he done? Whose father fired bullets at the karsevaks? Whose ministers are saying all kinds of things about Ram? Anyone can understand what his intentions are with the monastery. May God grant him wisdom.” Varun Das, a seer of Hanumangarhi, said the mafia is destructive while the head priest of ‘Sarve Bhavantu is Sukhinah’. “Akhilesh Yadav does not know the difference between robbers and lords. It is completely wrong to compare the two,” he said.
Another seer of Hanumangarhi, Deveshcharya Ji Maharaj, called it an “unfortunate” statement by the former CM.
Yamuna Puri, secretary of Panchayati Akhara Maha Nirvani, said the SP leader has lost his mental balance.
Swami Jitendrananda Saraswati, national general secretary of the All India Saints Committee, called Akhilesh’s statement “the height of viciousness” in politics.
“What else can you expect from a person who considers people of bad character as family in politics? This shows his hatred towards Sanatan Dharma and Hindu religious leaders. The people of Uttar Pradesh will give timely reply to these mafia agents. If necessary, the saints’ association will also take up a campaign against Akhilesh,” he said.
