UK National Crime Agency to identify sextortion as a specific crime (financially motivated sexual exploitation)

It is difficult for the NCA to accurately record how many cases of sextortion there have been as they are recorded by the police as different cases (blackmail, cyber crime, child abuse, etc., all of which have different codes in the system), so this should help to paint a more accurate picture – although it is still vastly under-reported.
