Co-Founder of Three 6 Mafia Ministers for Tippah County Inmates

Patrick Earl Houston, the rapper also known as Project Pat, is originally from Memphis and co-founded the rap group Three 6 Mafia with his brother Juicy J. This week, he brought a message of hope to Tippah County inmates.

Project Pat has been traveling to prisons across the country for several years, spreading Jesus Christ. He himself spent most of his time in prison in the 90s and early 2000s for aggravated robbery, illegally carrying a weapon, and violating his parole.

According to the organization’s Instagram account, its nonprofit GoFoundation has helped more than 4,000 prisoners in recent years.

According to their website, Go Foundation began in 2021 when Houston “received a prompting from the Holy Spirit to go into prisons and minister to inmates.” He partnered with Michael Brown, who was already doing youth ministry. In addition to prison ministry, they also have a YouTube podcast focused on outreach.

The Tippah County Correction Center announced the visit on their Facebook page with photos and the following comment:

“Experiencing the deep wisdom and knowledge of a remarkable individual like Mr. Patrick Houston, also known as ‘Project Pat’ is truly transformative. We are deeply grateful for this special appearance and presence of such a wonderful Godly man in our prison ministry session, sharing his gifts and insights with us. The offenders truly enjoyed it and were absolutely touched, but such a relatable testimony.

We say thank you, Brother Austin Hamilton, for making this incredible opportunity possible!”
