Counter-terrorism unit arrests two suspected militants in Mirpur

The Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC) has arrested two suspected militants in Shah Ali Mazar area of ​​Mirpur, Dhaka, and seized several bomb-making materials.

According to UNB reports, the arrested persons have been identified as Rezwanul Islam (23) and Md Mahmudul Islam (26).

Among the items they had with them were two petrol cans, automatic switches, lighters, two large machetes, gunpowder, matches, capacitors, a remote control key, a clock, gas pipes, electrical sockets, switches, scales, ball bearings, wires, adhesive tape, pliers and other bomb-making components.
