Take-Two’s 2025 line-up is going to be absolutely epic

Highlight of the story

  • Take-Two is one of the largest publishers in the gaming industry.
  • The publisher’s line-up for next year looks insane, with releases including GTA 6, Borderland 4, Judas and Mafia: The Old Country.
  • If all goes well, the publisher could reach a new level of success by the end of the year.

2025 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years in the gaming industry and like everyone else, I have high expectations for the biggest titles coming out next year.

There are already over 100 games confirmed for release next year. I’ve noticed that some of the most anticipated titles are mainly coming from one publisher, and that’s Take-Two.

The publisher is going all out next year with the next installments in iconic franchises such as GTA, Mafia and many others, and it may be that the most important and biggest year yet for the company.

Why it’s important: While there are many big titles coming out next year, the most notable releases come from Take-Two.

GTA 6 to be the biggest release of 2025

Of course my most anticipated release is the next game in the iconic Grand Theft Auto franchise, GTA 6, which I’ve been waiting for almost ten years.

The developers have confirmed that the title will be released next year. While many were concerned about the delay due to a recent rumor, a reliable leaker has confirmed that no delay is planned.

The franchise is so huge that many developers are already delaying their titles to avoid clashing with GTA 6. Still, I’m surprised to see Take-Two releasing all their titles without taking into account the clash with other games.

The Mafia franchise finally returns

During the last Gamescom 2024, Hangar 13 surprised everyone with the announcement of Mafia: The Old Country, a prequel to the original Mafia game next year.

While many fans were concerned that Mafia’s launch would clash with GTA 6’s in the same year, I think it will only make 2025 more interesting and expansive for the industry, as both franchises are too big to see any impact.

I hope Take-Two creates enough space between both releases though, so I can enjoy them freely. I’ve been waiting for both titles for many years and it’s so exciting to know they’re both coming out in the same year.

While the release date for Mafia: The Old Country hasn’t been announced yet, it’s likely to be in early 2025. However, I wouldn’t mind if the game came out later, as long as I can get my hands on the title.

Take-Two has even more titles to offer next year

Take-Two is not only releasing GTA 6 and Mafia: The Old Country next year, but the publisher has a lot more to offer fans.

Such a title is the next entry in the long-running Borderland franchiseBorderlands 4 from 2K Games, also coming out next year. It’s been half a decade since the last entry in the franchise, so expectations are high.

Another expected release from the publisher next year is Judas, which, although published by Ghost Story Games, still falls under the domain of Take-Two. My first impressions of the game are very positive.

Recent reports also suggest that the title will be released in March next year. While many have been waiting for the next installment in the BioShock franchise, the creator has given fans this, so my expectations from the developers are pretty high.

2025 has a lot of great titles, like Death Stranding 2 and many others, but I think GTA 6 and Mafia: The Old Country are among the most anticipated titles. It’s great to know that both of these are coming from the same publisher.

Take-two is already one of the largest publishers in the industry and by the end of 2025 the publisher could be even more successful than many may have expected.
