Tagovailoa suffered the injury in the third quarter of Miami’s game against Buffalo after he was battling for a first down and collided with Bills safety Damar Hamlin. He was able to walk off the field under his own power and into the Dolphins’ locker room.

Bills fans have built a positive reputation by financially supporting players and opponents, including donating to Tagovailoa’s charity after he suffered a second concussion in December 2022.

They donated to the charity of Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb after he suffered a knee injury in 2023 that kept him out of the season. Bills fans also raised more than $415,000 for the foundation of Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton after he led Buffalo to the playoffs as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2017.

As Tagovailoa recovers from his concussion, Bills fans once again showed their generosity.
