Georgia man sentenced to 23 years in prison for attempted sexual exploitation of minor

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – An Appling County man has been sentenced to more than 23 years in federal prison for attempting to coerce a minor into sexual acts.

According to a press release, 50-year-old Todd Eric Sisk of Braxley, Georgia, has pleaded guilty to attempted production of child pornography.

During a sting online operation in November 2021, Walton County Sheriff’s Office detectives determined that Sisk was using apps to communicate with minors.

Investigators determined that Sisk paid a Twitter user he believed was 13 years old to make a video of herself engaging in sexually explicit behavior.

Investigators contacted Homeland Security Investigations in Savannah for assistance.

U.S. District Court Judge Lisa Godbey Wood ordered Sisk to pay $10,600 in restitution and taxes, to register as a sex offender and to serve 15 years of supervised release after completing his prison sentence.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Baxley Police Department.
