NEW YORK (AP) — Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, a powerful leader of Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel, pleaded not guilty Friday to U.S. drug trafficking charges in a case in which he is accused of plotting murder, ordering torture and smuggling tons of drugs into the United States.
