Dawn Richard, a former member of girl group Danity Kane, has filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of sexual abuse. According to court documents, Richard alleges that Combs assaulted her multiple times during her time with the group, which was founded on the MTV reality show “Making the Band” in the mid-2000s. Richard alleges that Combs used his power and influence within the music industry to manipulate and control her, leading to situations in which she felt pressured into unwanted sexual encounters. The lawsuit outlines instances in which Richard alleges she was pressured by Combs, causing her to fear retaliation if she refused his advances.
