BJP Netas are Biggest Land Mafia: Akhilesh | Lucknow News

Lucknow: The rampant corruption in the sale and purchase of land in Ayodhya explains the extent of irregularities in the rest of the state, said Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, alleging that BJP functionaries and administrators were “operating like the biggest criminals”. land mafia“.
“Since the BJP government came into being, party functionaries and office bearers have been operating as the biggest land mafia in the state. They have not only seized land but have also not spared ponds. In Lucknow itself, many ponds have fallen prey to conspiracies,” said Akhilesh, who was addressing media persons on Saturday.
“There has been corruption and looting in the sale and purchase of land in Ayodhya. If this is what is happening in the holy city of Ayodhya, one can imagine the situation in other districts of the state,” Akhilesh alleged.
Akhilesh pointed to the murder of a shopkeeper who refused to open his shop in the middle of the night to give cigarettes in Varanasi as evidence of the law and order situation in the state. According to him, the statistics of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) show that the state registers the highest number of cases of murder, loot and crimes against women.
“This is because the police are busy coming up with conspiracy theories. When the police go in search of fake encounters, they have to sit for hours to create a sequence before and after the incident. In Sultanpur, Mangesh Yadav’s fake encounter took place at 3.30 pm. A press release was issued at 5 am. Pieces were put together like the bag, the bike and a new pair of clothes,” he alleged.
The former UP CM said Mangesh’s family met him and described how police reached their house on September 2 night and took Mangesh away. He was shot dead on September 5.
“SP has raised the issue of fake meetings several times and will continue to do so,” said Akhilesh.
SP spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said, “The party has assured the families of Mangesh and other victims of the fake encounters that they will get justice.”
