PYREX DROP NEW ALBUM “SINCERELY, REX”

GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum recording artist, producer and songwriter Pyrex officially releases his new album Kind regards, Rex. A 15-track offering that continues to give the rising star pause, it’s the Baltimore native’s follow-up to Weapons and romancereleased at the beginning of this year. Driven by the singles “What am I doing,” “Screaming,” And “With Gala, Kind regards, Rex is Pyrex’s most candid statement yet.

Write on my tombstone: The greatest who ever lived, sings the long-term member of The 808 Mafia of Southside on “Burning bridges,” the pensive, surf-psychedelic ballad that opens the album. It’s less a statement than a harbinger; a key architect for the dominant sounds of hip-hop in the 2010s and beyond, Pyrex has fully come into his own as an artist. Kind regards, Rex reflects that evolution. With a swirl of surreal production, unfiltered emotion and disembodied melodies, Kind regards, Rexconfirms his status as one of hip-hop’s most dynamic creators.

Spread across different styles, sounds, flows and moods, Rex builds on his foundation as a singer and songwriter in all 15 tracks. New single “With Gala” comes as the centerpiece of the album, with an official music video coming soon. On “Emptiness”he weaves a meticulous tale of lost love with hazy guitar and reverb-drenched, distorted vocals, with his usual 808s now absent. My heart can shake the ground, your heart doesn’t make a sound!”That song bleeds in “Do not disturb”seamlessly segueing into the brutally honest tale of two hearts yearning for unconditional love and the cold realities that often unfold in toxic relationships, all on a bed of intricate yet masterfully reductive Pyrex production.
