The weakness of the White House has created chaos in the Middle East, led to attacks on our military, carried out the bloodiest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust, and Americans continue to be held hostage by Hamas, which is backed by Iran.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Four years ago, we celebrated the signing of the Abraham Accords, a historic step forward for peace in the Middle East initiated under the Trump administration. On September 15, 2020, President Trump forged these agreements, making possible the largest deal between Israel and Arab countries in modern history. Americans, Israelis, and Arabs were brought together under a common vision. Cultural, economic, and defense ties were deepened, and the world watched as Iran’s worst fears became a reality: a more united and prosperous Middle East. This was peace through strength in action.

BIDEN-HARRIS ADMIN NEEDS ‘MORE AGGRESSIVE’ PLAN TO TACKLE IRAN-BACKED HOUTHIS, EXPERTS WARN

As a combat veteran who served in the Middle East, I co-founded the Abraham Accords Caucus so that Congress could build on the Accords’ strong foundation. Through this work, I have authored legislation to strengthen and expand these agreements by establishing integrated defense systems with our allies and partners to protect against Iranian-backed attacks on land and at sea.

Unfortunately, after three and a half years of Biden and Harris in the White House, Iranian-backed terrorists have tested these efforts to the limit. In April, the U.S., Israel, and our Arab partners worked together to shoot down a barrage of 300 Iranian projectiles, a feat made possible by my DEFEND Act. Moreover, my MARITIME Act have paved the way for working with our partners to counter the near-daily threats from the Iran-backed Houthis in the Red Sea, who disrupt innocent civilians and trade.

The world is on fire and it has cost American lives.

It is clear that Iran wants chaos. And under the lack of leadership from President Biden and Vice President Harris, their wishes have come true.

IRAN USES HELLS ANGELS AND CRIMINAL GANGS TO TARGET CRITICS IN US AND ABROAD: REPORT

The Biden-Harris White House has refused to impose sanctions on Tehran, allowing the regime to fuel and fund its proxy terrorism and hostage diplomacy. Emboldened by this administration’s decisions, the Iranian-backed Hamas was working to undo the gains made by the Abraham Accords when these terrorists invaded Israel on October 7, 2023.

And yet, 11 months after this invasion, Israel and Arab states have shown that they remain committed to the Trump-led agreement, despite ongoing tensions in the region. While this proves that the unifying force behind the Abraham Accords is alive and well, we must be vigilant to ensure that progress does not unravel under the Biden-Harris administration’s appeasement.

During my fourth trip to the Middle East since the October 7 attack, regional leaders told me they are ready to abandon American leadership. Make no mistake, this is the result of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s decision to abandon our allies and embolden our adversaries—it began with the withdrawal from Afghanistan and has continued to this day.

The world is on fire and it has cost American lives.

Now more than ever, we must build on the Trump-era Abraham Accords. That is why I will continue my work to ensure that Israel and our allies have a comprehensive strategy of cooperation to counter Iran’s efforts.

My STARS Act would expand defense coordination to protect against hostile space activities. This will improve satellite security coordination to enhance U.S. situational awareness, defend against adversary threats, and deepen space cooperation with Israel and other Middle East allies.

To further integrate regional defense operations, my LINK Act would strengthen people-to-people ties between military leaders from Abraham Accord countries. My AI Accords Act would also direct the Pentagon to increase network sharing capabilities with partners to enhance cyber cooperation.

The power of the Accords is not dead. In fact, their continued existence is precisely what Iran fears. A united Middle East will help end the regime’s wave of terror in the region, which seeks to destabilize our partners, kill American service members, and destroy the United States, Israel, and our allies. Four years after the Abraham Accords, the stakes are too high: We cannot afford to fail.

President Trump brought our partners together and ended Iran’s dream of destruction in the region. Another four years of Kamala Harris will create more chaos, hammer the nail in the coffin of American leadership and kill the accords.

This moment calls for a new commander in chief, not another commander in chief who will abandon himself.
