What would you choose?

I have watched a variety of BLs ranging from mafia stories to high school crushes to time travel fantasies. I have found that it is not the setting or story that determines whether I will like it, but the chemistry. Let me explain further –

I am a romcom girl. I don’t like action movies but I love KinnPorsche – especially because of the characters Porsche, Porchay and Kim – the acting is so sublime. The kisses and even the NC scenes are so seductive, almost every interaction between Kinn and Porsche is dripping with sensuality. The harder parts are bearable because I find them so attractive (not as superficial as it sounds – I don’t mean just face or muscles)

I love Hidden Agenda, even though it’s set in college and the plot is pretty basic. JoongDunk’s chemistry and acting are unmatched (for me). Same goes for ‘Star in my mind’; neither of them has an NC scene and they don’t even kiss much, but the looks between them and, again, the sensuality of their interactions are so beautiful that it’s one of my favorite series. And we haven’t even talked about that ridiculously hot bathroom moment in SIMM!

Bed Friend is another one – it’s not all roses and I despise Jade as a character, but the chemistry between King and Uea is more than charged. Every kiss or touch is full of sensuality, I think James Su is a master at this, honestly.

On the contrary, Venus in the Sky has one of the most intense sex scenes I’ve ever seen in a BL, but there was something missing. I think Tod is a great actor and he was great in the role, but whether it was because of the lighting that was always so bright in the series, or their chemistry, I don’t know, but it just didn’t meet the sensuality requirements at all.

4Minutes had some great NC scenes and I actually watched anything with Jes, Bible, Fuaiz or Bas in it (all the BOC actors are extremely talented!), but the series couldn’t deliver on that sensuality, in my opinion.

I just want to say that I’ve discovered that I like different genres, but I need good chemistry and sensuality to really enjoy a series.

What is your ONE ‘must have’? It could be NC scenes, it could be ‘no engineers’ lol. What makes a good show for you?
