GAMBIA: WHY DID NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR CHANGE BECOME A POLITICAL MOVEMENT?

The Gambia remains in ruins under the economic junglers and the mafia government of Adama Barrow and the NAC has risen, ready to save the Gambians and save the country from ruin.

Why did NAC come into being? We are like Edward Francis Small who was exposed to universal knowledge. We woke up and saw how states function, how constitutions are built, how economies are built. What is the basis for ensuring that people live in peace, progress and prosperity?

We turned around and looked back and saw a society in ruins. A society full of failures. People in rural areas living in extreme poverty. No roads, no hospitals, no schools, no jobs for the youth, bad education, bad health care, bad agricultural system and much more.

We saw people living in poverty and dying in poverty.

We asked ourselves the question.

Are we among those people who have to deal with all these injustices and disadvantages?

Is this the Gambia that people want to see and live in forever?

Is this the Gambia we want our children to inherit and pass on to our grandchildren? Our answer is that our EDUCATION is MEANINGLESS unless we transform our education into a tool for development and make Gambia a developed nation in the world. Unless we eradicate poverty from our people and tyrannical subjugation. We saw that we had to create a political movement whose fundamental objective would be to eradicate dictatorship and fight corruption to empower young leadership that will serve all, that is why NAC came into being.

Compliment: I would like to thank Advocate Assan Martin and the very strong team behind him for bringing about the NAC and showing Gambians that this wonderful political movement is here to save Gambia and its people.
