Rochester man struck by gunfire during youth soccer game in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Rochester man was struck by gunfire during a youth soccer game in Buffalo on Sunday, Buffalo police said.

According to officials, officers responded to a report at Sycamore and Koons Avenues just after 11:30 a.m. where a 31-year-old man had been struck by gunfire.

Authorities said he was taken by ambulance to ECMC for treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Officers seized a firearm and arrested a suspect, police said.
