Spartanburg County Man Arrested on Multiple Child Sex Crimes Charges, More Victims Wanted

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – A Spartanburg County man is in custody after deputies say he forced an underage boy to show him his genitals and took photos of the child.

According to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, Timothy Curtis Goode, 65, of Pacolet, faces eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of criminal sexual assault of a minor. Goode was arrested Friday.

According to the sheriff’s office, a mother and her son told investigators on Aug. 30 that Goode had hired the boy, who knew Goode, to do some yard work for him.

After the work was completed, Goode invited the victim inside, where he repeatedly asked the victim to expose himself and grabbed the boy’s genitals.

The victim told investigators he didn’t think he was allowed to leave until Goode asked, so he complied and Goode allegedly took photos of the boy. Goode then offered the boy snacks and something to drink before taking him back home, investigators said.

A search of Goode’s phone reportedly turned up explicit photos of the victim, as well as photos of another unidentified boy who investigators believe may live in Greenville County.

Goode remains in jail after a magistrate transferred his bail arrangement to a district court judge.

Investigators say that based on the evidence collected so far, they believe Goode committed similar acts with other victims.
