The team of Johnty and Jayarajwhich hit the stage three years ago is gearing up for promotional programs for the film. The film teaser and trailer was revealed by Sandalwood actors Vinod Prabhakar And Srinagara kitten on Friday. The highlight of the film is that it features Ajith, the son of the late Jayaraj, who played the father and son in the film.

“I felt nervous playing my father in the film. Director Anandraj helped and guided me to face the camera. I play a character who has two shades,” Ajith said.

Johnty S/o Jayaraj is bankrolled by Sugur Kumar, who has two decades of experience in the publicity and promotion segment. Director Anandraj said that the film revolves around finance and market mafia after Jayaraj was murdered. “I wrote the script based on the information given by some people and media reports. The market mafia was flourishing soon after Jayaraj was murdered,” the director said.

He said the film has all the elements like romance, friendship and sentiments. “The film will show how Bengaluru was before and after Jayaraj’s death. It will give the audience a chance to know how the city was in the 90s,” he said. The film also has Niviska Patil.
