Kazakhstan, China to share police information: September 10, 2024 | 20:01

Tengrinews.kz – The first meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security of the Central Asian countries and China took place in China, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

Delegations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and China discussed joint measures to combat transnational crime, extremism, illicit drug trafficking, cybercrime and human trafficking.

Kazakhstan’s Interior Minister Erzhan Sadenov, who led the Kazakh delegation, held bilateral talks with China’s Minister of Public Security to discuss concrete steps to improve security.

“Given the high level of drug threats and IT-related crime, the interior ministers of Kazakhstan and China agreed to make joint efforts to address these issues. This includes sharing information and experience,” the ministry’s press service said.

In addition, Sadenov participated in the Global Forum on Public Security Cooperation, where he met representatives of the Ministries of Interior of Turkey and Pakistan. The parties expressed their readiness to further expand cooperation to address contemporary security challenges.
