The Traitors: Karan Johar Makes Official Announcement as He Begins Shooting for Reality Show; ‘It’s So Treacherous…’

Pinkvilla exclusively informed you a few days ago that Karan Johar is heading to Jaisalmer to shoot for his reality show, The Traitors. The show will be an Indian adaptation of the American show, The Traitors and to get fans excited, the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director shared the official update on his Instagram account.

Today, on September 17, Karan Johar took to his Instagram account to post the motion poster announcing the start of the shoot of his upcoming reality show, The Traitors. Complementing the title and theme, we see a knife used metaphorically in the font. “It’s so treacherous sleeping with one eye open! #TheTraitersOnPrime, now filming for @primevideoin,” the post was captioned.

Reacting to the post, fans flooded the comments section, expressing their excitement for the show. One user asked, “Is the web series coming?” another fan responded, “It’s time to take revenge Let’s Go YAY!” while a third fan exclaimed, “All the best! Can’t wait to watch. When is it coming out?? @karanjohar,” another user commented, “LETS GO,” and another fan pointed out, “see that font!!!”

Interestingly, a source close to the development exclusively shared with us that the filmmaker will be in Jaisalmer for the next two weeks. The format of the shows requires 10 participants to be kept in one location for 2 weeks and after a nationwide recce, the team zeroed in on Jaisalmer.

“The contestants will have to complete various tasks to stay in the game, but the competition will have many surprises and upsets to keep the spark alive,” the source added.

There are rumours that Karan Kundra, Sundhanshu Pandey, Raj Kundra, Anshula Kapoor and Jasmin Bhasin will be joining the show. However, there is no official confirmation yet.

For those who don’t know, Traitors is the Hindi version of the American reality show The Traitors, in which a group of contestants participate in a game similar to the party game Mafia.

On the work front, Karan Johar is also currently looking forward to the release of his production ventures Devara and Jigra. After this, he also has Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Dhadak 2, an as-yet-untitled film starring Akshay Kumar among others, in the pipeline.
