Governor Abbott Appoints Bedolla to Task Force on Gang Violence in Texas

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Victor Bedolla, Jr. to the Texas Violent Gang Task Force for a term that will expire at the governor’s discretion.

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Victor Bedolla, Jr. to the Texas Violent Gang Task Force for a term expiring at the request of the Governor. The Task Force will create strategic partnerships between local, state and federal criminal justice, juvenile justice and correctional agencies to better enable these agencies to take a proactive stance in monitoring gang activity and the growth and spread of gangs throughout the state.

Victor Bedolla, Jr. of Houston is the Gang Specialist for the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department. Bedolla earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston-Downtown.
