Yogi Adityanath criticises Congress, SP over caste politics

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday criticised the Congress and the Samajwadi Party for dividing people on the basis of caste for their own interests.

Adityanath accused these parties of putting their own families before the welfare of the country and its citizens. He said, ‘Whether it is the Congress or the Samajwadi Party, they do not care about the country or the society. They are not concerned about your faith or the youth, they are only concerned about their families.’ These family-based parties, he alleged, were fueling class conflict and compromising public safety for political gains.

Adityanath specifically targeted Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, but did not mention them by name. He ridiculed their claims of development and reminded the audience of the ‘gunda’ and ‘mafia raj’ of the previous decade. He praised the recent developments under his government, pointing to improvements in security, employment and infrastructure, including the transformation of Ghaziabad into a ‘smart city’.
