Competitor information

Cost for most events (except “Pop Out”, FX Makeup and Shear Boss) is $150 plus service fee.

FX Makeup & Shear Boss costs $75 plus service fee.

The cost for “POP OUT” BATTLE is $200 plus service fees.

The cost of the battle includes entry for the participant and his/her model.

Participants can participate in multiple events.

Prices

1st Place – $800 Cash Prize, XL Trophy, Goodie Bag (Value Over $500)

2nd Place – L Trophy, Goodie Bag (Over $200)

3rd Place – M Trophy, swag bag (value over $150)

“POP OUT” Winner – $1000 BIG CHECK, CHAMPIONSHIP BELT, BRAGING RIGHTS, swag bag (value over $500)

2nd and 3rd place prizes for “Pop Out” include a trophy and a goodie bag!

Rules and Judging

Judgement:

Faded Mafia judges use a 50pt Universal Judging System and Manifesto backstage. Only Sanitation/Professionalism is judged on stage.

Lines:

One day access to the exhibition hall for the participant and his/her model(s). (One model per fight).

Each participant must have his own disinfected equipment:

Clippers

Shavers

Trimmers

Razors

Pair of scissors

Brushes

Sharp containers (+1pt)

Faded Mafia reserves the right to cancel or reschedule this event.

General competition rules:

COSTUMES WILL ONLY BE JUDGED IN THE “POP OUT” AND FX MAKEUP CATEGORY!!

1. All participants must bring a live model (13 years and older) and hairdressing tools to participate in the contest. The contest fee includes one day of registration for the participant and his/her model. Model numbers will be given to all participating models once they are confirmed and checked in at the registration area. Registration begins at 12:00. MODEL MUST BE PRESENT.

​2. All models must have their hair cut at the time of the competition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO PRE-LINEUPS, NO PRE-EDGEUPS, NO PHOTO REFERENCES (CHECK PHONE FOR DESIGNS). YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. ALL their (model) hair MUST be a minimum of 1/4 inch (2 gauge) before the competition begins. The stylist must show a transformation of the model’s hair. Registration staff will inspect the model’s hair during pre-judging or check-in. Violation of this rule will result in deduction of points and/or disqualification from the competition.

​3. All participants must report to the registration area at least one hour before the battle. If participants are late, they will lose their place in the competition and their paid entry fee. When arriving at the battle, look for “Check In”.

​4. All participants will be given a specific amount of time to complete their specific cut and style. Judging will be based on visuals only (look, don’t touch)! The jury will use a point system on a scale of one (lowest possible score) to ten (highest possible score). In the event of a tie in a category or award placement, FADED MAFIA will determine the final winner.
