Three 6 Mafia will take the stage at the Orion Theatre in Huntsville: Here’s how to get tickets

Three 6 Mafia is coming to Huntsville.

The Memphis rap icons will take the stage at the Orion Theatre in Huntsville on Saturday, September 21, with a company including Project Pat, Cowboy Killer and YellaWolf.

Tickets are available through Stubhub, Vivid Seats, SeatGeek and The Orion’s website.

Three 6 Mafia was formed in 1991 by Juicy J, DJ Paul and Lord Infamous. The band rose to fame in the 1990s and charted in the 2000s with singles such as “Poppin’ My Collar” and “Stay Fly”.

In 2006, Three 6 Mafia won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp”, the lead song from the Memphis-based film “Hustle & Flow”, starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson.

In an interview on the SpringHill podcast “Two Ways About It,” Juicy J said that Three 6 Mafia’s songs are often sampled, with the group seeing five to six samples a day.

“I feel like the new trend is the old trend, like Three 6 Mafia, because everyone’s sampling Three 6 Mafia,” Juicy said during the interview. “I get paid for pretty much every song. Like 90% of the songs that are out right now.”
