With Sean “Diddy” Combs facing a possible life sentence after being charged with human trafficking and racketeering, one woman is expected to be at the center of the music mogul’s case.

Kristina Khorram was appointed Combs’ chief of staff in 2020 and has said she served as his “right-hand woman” for years.

Although Ms Khorram has not been arrested or charged in the investigation into her boss, and is not even named in the indictment, it appears she will play a role in the trial that follows.

Authorities allege Combs was able to force women into marathon orgies thanks to a “criminal organization” of associates who facilitated his so-called “Freak Offs” and then prevented them from becoming public.

They have remained tight-lipped about who exactly they consider members of this “enterprise,” other than to say it reportedly included Combs’ personal assistants, housekeeping and security staff, and “senior supervisors.”

However, Ms. Khorram was named in a civil complaint filed against Combs and others as an alleged “Ghislaine Maxwell” figure who would arrange drugs and prostitutes for her boss.

A source close to the investigation told the New York Post: “If anyone is the gatekeeper, it’s Kristina who knows everything.”

Ms. Khorram reportedly joined Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment in 2013 as a senior executive before rising to director in the chairman’s office at Combs Enterprises. She was named Combs’ chief of staff in 2020.

“Kristina aka KK keeps everything in my life and my business going,” Combs wrote on Facebook in 2021.

“She has been my right hand for the past eight years and has consistently proven that she can execute and get things done. I don’t know how I would function without her.”

According to an ongoing lawsuit filed by Rodney Jones, a music producer known as “Lil Rod,” Ms. Khorram’s duties went far beyond what one would expect of an executive at a global company.

Mr Jones, who sued Combs for $30 million and made allegations including sexual assault and harassment, compared the rapper to Jeffrey Epstein and claimed Ms Khorram was his Ghislaine Maxwell – the socialite who groomed underage girls for abuse by the financier.

Ms Khorram is accused of ordering prostitutes for Combs, while ensuring he had his “drug of choice readily available when he asked for it”.

She allegedly forced all staff members, including Mr Jones, to carry cocaine, GHB, ecstasy and marijuana in small bags to support her drug addiction.

In Mr. Jones’ characterization of the illegal enterprise in his complaint, it was part of a “Rico enterprise” — a reference to a law created in the 1970s to destroy the Mafia. One agency that used the law to target mob bosses was the Southern District of New York, which is leading the prosecution of Combs.

Combs’ lawyers this year have cast contempt on Mr. Jones’ claims, accusing him of concocting a “conspiracy” to cover up a “commercial disagreement,” and filed a motion in August to dismiss the case. That motion has not yet been decided.

“Mr. Jones’ lawsuit is pure fiction – a shameless attempt to create media hype and obtain a quick settlement,” said Erica Wolff, who represents the rapper.

“There was no Rico conspiracy and Mr. Jones was not threatened, manipulated, attacked or trafficked.

“We look forward to proving – in a trial – that all of Mr. Jones’s claims are fabricated and must be dismissed.”

Authorities have not ruled out filing charges against Combs’ employees and colleagues following the rapper’s recent arrest in New York.

“Nothing has been ruled out,” Damian Williams, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, said Tuesday.

Representatives for Combs declined to comment and attempts to contact Ms. Khorram directly were unsuccessful.
