SP becomes a gang of people who commit atrocities against daughters: Yogi

Ghaziabad, Sep 18 (UNI) In a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP), Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said the party has turned into a gang that commits atrocities against women.

Addressing a gathering during the mega Rozgaar Mela at Ramlila Ground, Ghantaghar, in Ghaziabad, the CM distributed appointment letters to over 10,000 youth, loans of over Rs 327 crore to 632 beneficiaries and tablets/smartphones to over 6,000 youth.

He said that all those who were recently arrested for endangering the safety of their daughters have links with SP. Reflecting on their values, he said, “SP leaders are labelling India’s religious leaders and cultural icons as mafia, which suggests that the soul of Aurangzeb has taken hold of them.”

He said Congress and SP have become like Bhasmasur: whenever they got power, they misused it to undermine the faith of the people.

Yogi stressed that the ongoing Rozgaar Melas in the state are taking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mission Employment to new heights. He also reminded the audience that the people of UPr still remember the misdeeds of the pre-2017 governments.

He said: “The mafia and rioters were an important source of income for the opposition.”

The CM said that when someone’s income stream is threatened, their leaders lose their cool and resort to irrational outbursts. “Today, these political patrons are upset over the disappearance of the mafia and rioters,” he said.

He said SP and Congress want to foment class conflict under the guise of caste and give rioters freedom to loot. “However, the two-engine government is determined to dismantle this model of SP,” he said.

Yogi stressed that the next three years are crucial as UtP has to become the largest economy in the country within this time frame.

Reflecting on the past governance, he said, “Before 2014, the Congress-led central government introduced laws to oppress Hindus, tried to dismantle the Ram Setu, obstructed the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and promoted terrorism in Kashmir. The Congress undermined the country’s security.”

He said, “Similarly, before 2017, SP followed Congress in UP, promoting lawlessness and chaos. There were many riots and SP leaders were seen as subservient to dangerous criminals, forest mafias, animal mafias and land mafias.”

The CM also highlighted how previous governments exploited the state’s youth, resulting in widespread suffering, with farmers being pushed to the brink of suicide and traders being forced to flee the state. “The SP’s actions have driven Hindu traders out of Kairana and Kandhla and put the safety of daughters at risk,” he said.

In contrast, in the new UProf, a new India, daughters are now safe, traders are respected, youth have access to jobs and farmers progress with dignity, he said.

Yogi affirmed that if anyone dares to endanger the future of the youth, the government will take action against them, confiscate their properties and distribute them among the poor. He assured that all obstacles to the dreams of the youth will be removed.

He noted that the double-engine government in UP has provided government jobs to over 6.5 lakh youth in the last seven and a half years. “For the first time in the history of UP, investment proposals of over Rs 40 lakh crore have been received, which is expected to generate employment for around 1.5 crore youth in the state,” he said.

The CM said, “Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana, the government will provide interest-free loans of Rs 500,000 in the first phase and Rs 100,000 in the second phase to 100,000 youth in the coming years.”
