Ayodhya’s Deepotsav will only cause problems for Pakistan and Akhilesh: Adityanath

Ayodhya (UP): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday slammed Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, saying that like Pakistan, he is worried about the ‘deepostav’ in Ayodhya as his party has an “anti-Hindu mentality”.

Addressing the parliamentary programme at Milkipur, Adityanath also accused Yadav of patronising criminals and appeasing Muslims during his tenure as Uttar Pradesh chief minister.

He said 15 crore people are now getting free ration in Uttar Pradesh, which was not possible before 2017 (when the BJP came to power in the state) because “the goons of the Samajwadi Party” were misusing the ration.

“The biggest mafia of every district, the biggest miscreant, was a disciple of the Samajwadi Party, was its official. There were mafias involved in organised crime, land, animals, forest, mining. Every mafia from every area was connected to the Samajwadi Party in the state,” Adityanath charged.

“And what was the result? There was a parallel mafia rule going on. Babua (referring to Akhilesh) did not come out of his house. Babua woke up at 12 o’clock and the people of the state suffered,” he said.

Adityanath alleged that on one hand, mafias were running a ‘parallel government’ and were engaging in hooliganism, but on the other hand, they were crossing the limits of Islamic appeasement to spread anarchy even during festivals.

“Whether it was Holi or Deepawali, Raksha Bandhan or Shivratri, Ramnavami or Janmashtami, they had banned all of them, they had stopped the events. Because some people did not like the tune of Hare Rama Hare Krishna, the Samajwadi Party banned it. They stopped the Kanwar Yatra,” he alleged.

“Ayodhya’s Deepotsav! When lamps are lit in the temples and ghats of Ayodhya, it is only a nuisance to the Samajwadi Party leader and Pakistan. Because they knew that every lamp lit in Ayodhya will illuminate not only Ayodhya but also the country and the state. These lamps have the power to destroy Pakistan, which has become a cancer for humanity,” Adityanath said.

“Pakistan is the enemy of India, so it is in trouble, but the Samajwadi Party, which is known for its anti-Hindu mentality, was also in trouble. Because they are used to living in darkness. They are committing robbery, they need darkness. That’s why they have been doing this everywhere,” he added.

Milkipur Assembly segment in Ayodhya district has been earmarked for by-elections along with nine other seats in the state. Samajwadi Party’s Dalit leader Awadhesh Prasad quit Milkipur after winning the Faizabad Lok Sabha seat in June.

According to an official statement, Adityanath on Thursday inaugurated 83 development projects and laid the foundation stone in Milkipur, worth over Rs 1,000 crore.

He also handed over cheques, keys, certificates, sewing machines etc. to the beneficiaries of various schemes. He said that a mini stadium will be constructed in Milkipur, it added.
