For Allen, the moment was a reminder of his journey from small-town boy to NFL star. The two-time Pro Bowl receiver added: “You know that sitting here now a 28 year old man, but you know, this six, seven year old boy that I am, I’m going absolutely crazy now because it’s such an honor and it’s just really cool to get respect from the person who did it and I hope people like it. His reaction was nothing short of humbling! Josh also pointed out that the brand can take it out if they want to because it doesn’t bother him. While that sounds overwhelming, save your tears for what he said next.

The NFL’s third-best QB noted that he could inspire others to pursue their dreams. Josh Allen stated: “I don’t like to watch on myself, anyway. But I don’t know if it inspires anyone down there, all the children.” And it’s heartwarming to think that a little farm boy with no high school offer could end up where he did. But while the holder of the highest passer rating record finds the billboard inspiring, he’s in a tough spot due to city violations!

Josh Allen in Trouble for Billboard City Violations

Let’s start with the buzz. The billboard is impossible to miss: 120 feet high and 110 feet wide, and it captures Josh Allen in all his superstar glory. It quickly became a must-visit spot for anyone in the Bills Mafia. While the QB remains on the ground, the ad has gotten him into trouble.

The community has embraced the billboard with open arms, but the city of Buffalo has raised concerns. The Statler Hotel, owned by Douglas Jemal, did not receive the required zoning approval before putting up the massive billboard. Additionally, city officials confirmed that although Jemal’s team filed the required paperwork, they did not receive the permit in time.

Cathy Amdur, Buffalo’s Commissioner of Permits and Inspection, explained that there is no bad blood. However, they needed a variance for the sign, and the timing just didn’t work out. She noted that Statler Hotel “work with us to make it all right“and that the city” isaccording to our normal processes and procedures.” And to resolve all this drama, they have scheduled a meeting with the zoning board for next month. Andur added: “We are all Bill fans here!”

Despite the technical issues, the public seems overwhelmingly positive. Buffalo residents have expressed their love for the billboard. In addition to being a positive boost for the city during difficult times, it has also become a focal point of attraction. Jemal echoed this sentiment, saying that the display serves a greater purpose for Buffalo. He said: “This is a positive victory for Buffalo!”

With all the controversy out there, it seems like the billboard is a win-win for everyone. And with so many good things happening with Josh Allen, let’s hope he continues to inspire fans!
