Trial scheduled for Las Vegas woman accused of sex acts with dog and possession of child pornography

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas woman accused of possessing child pornography and performing and recording sex acts between her and her dog is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 24, 8 News Now investigators learned.

According to police records, Las Vegas Metro Police arrested Brennah Montgomery, 30, on May 21. She faces three counts of preparing, advertising or distributing material depicting pornography of a minor, two counts of possessing visual pornography of a person under the age of 16, a first offense, and a gross misdemeanor count of bestiality.

Montgomery pleaded not guilty in Clark County Superior Court on Aug. 27, court records show.

Montgomery posted $15,000 through a bond company, according to court documents. Las Vegas Metro police said she was released from jail on June 1.

Las Vegas Superior Court Judge Harmony Letizia previously set Montgomery’s bail at $15,000, with enhanced electronic monitoring. Montgomery was also ordered to have no contact with minors, no access to the internet and no contact with animals.

Police said they found about 153 bestiality videos that appeared to be between Montgomery and her dog, according to an arrest report. Five of the videos showed Montgomery’s face or part of her face, some of the videos showed Montgomery using peanut butter and some of the videos were duplicates, police noted.

Montgomery admitted during questioning by a detective that she had indeed performed sexual acts, but she claimed she had not confined or forced the dog to perform such acts, the arrest report states.

During a house search in August 2022, officers said they found the dog.

Montgomery claimed she came across child pornography in a group on Telegram, an encrypted chat application, but denied saving or downloading child pornography, police said.

“Brennah stated that she was using Telegram with her iPhone 12. When she first started using Telegram and WhatsApp, the programs automatically downloaded the media she viewed on the apps and saved it to her phone,” the arrest report said.

Montgomery admitted to posting three videos containing child abuse material on Snapchat during a role-playing interview.

Police said the investigation began after they received a “CyberTip Report” from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about a Snapchat user who sent three files containing child sexual abuse material in 2021.

On a Facebook page under the name “Brennah Montgomery” on February 24, several photos of a dog were posted with the caption: “Although it saddens me, I realize this is the best opportunity for both of us; a new beginning will bring so much joy and success – especially for my sweet Piper! I can no longer give her the care and attention she deserves. Home is where the heart is. Let’s help Piper find her sanctuary! If you have any tips or recommendations for reputable adoption centers, please let me know!”
