JAMMU, Sep 19: Apni Party provincial vice-president and former MLA Faqir Nath today continued his election campaign in favour of the party’s Jammu South candidate Pavneet Kour and sought votes and support from the people.
Addressing an election rally in Jammu South, Faqir Nath criticised the authorities for inexplicably allowing the mining mafia to operate and exploit natural resources, thereby providing bread to the local youth.
In a sharp reaction to the growing complaints against the mining mafia, he said the party will not allow the mining mafia to operate in Jammu and Kashmir after October 8, 2024, after the declaration of the Legislative Assembly results.
“We will drive out the mining mafia from Lakhanpur on October 8,” he declared, drawing the attention of the people, who expressed their support and displeasure over the involvement of insiders in facilitating mining and extraction of minerals by the non-locals.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the fight against corruption and vowed to cleanse Lakhanpur of the mining mafia, which he said had been exploiting the region for far too long.
Faqir Nath appealed to the people of Jammu South to unite in their fight against corruption by supporting Apni Party candidate Pavneet Kour.
Addressing the gathering, Pavneet Kour reiterated her commitment to the people, promising 500 units of free electricity for every household and a dedication to improving the lives of the common people. She appealed to the voters to trust her leadership and work together for a corruption-free, prosperous Jammu South.
