Queen Creek man charged with sexual exploitation of minor

PHOENIX – A Maricopa County grand jury indicted a Queen Creek man last week on charges of allegedly sexually exploiting a minor, authorities announced Thursday.

Cody Brett Weaver, 31, was charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree dangerous felony and a dangerous child offense, the Maricopa County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The charges stem from a tip the Queen Creek Police Department received in April from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The center alerted police to images and videos of sexual exploitation of a minor. A search warrant was served on Weaver’s home, and he was arrested and booked into jail in June.

No date has yet been set for the trial.
