Trial of three alleged pedophiles postponed until November

The High Court in Polokwane, Limpopo, has postponed the trial of three men accused of sexual exploitation and luring two children until November 11.

The minors were allegedly sexually abused and manipulated by their father and his friends on a farm in Tzaneen.

The National Public Prosecution Service (NPA) reports that the cross-examination of the 10-year-old victim has been completed.

A teacher who is now the minors’ legal guardian will testify next month when the case returns to court.

The trial, which is taking place behind closed doors, will resume on November 11.

The three suspects, including the father of the minors, are being tried for a series of rapes committed against the minors between 2022 and 2023.

The fourth suspect has since died. The victims were 9 and 11 years old at the time.
