MANILA, Philippines – Ready to slide further into the diamond life? There’s no denying that K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN is one of the biggest acts in K-pop.

Just like their lyrics SEVENTEEN to the world!” In God of Music, the group has achieved many achievements on the world stage, including having the best-selling album in the world in 2023 and being the first UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Youth in 2024.

They have also performed on many stages and headlined international music festivals, such as Glastonbury in the UK and Lollapalooza Berlin in Germany. One of their latest achievements is their win at the 2024 Video Music Awards for Best Group.

Whether you’ve only recently heard of them or have been CARAT for a while, they’ve created a ton of content in the 10 years that they’ve been around as a 13-member group. They wanted to connect with their fans in a variety of ways, including posting longer content on their YouTube channel and collaborating with famous Korean personalities.

These types of videos give fans the chance to get to know the personalities and dynamics of the different members, not just colleagues, but a tight-knit group with a strong bond.

Ever wondered how SEVENTEEN came into being? Uploaded on their YouTube channel, Seventeen Project is a documentary series about the group’s journey to their debut.

Up close and personal, the documentary explores the lives, practices, recording sessions and humble beginnings of the members. The series also features interviews with each member as they open up and reflect on their trainee days.

The road to success is never easy, as SEVENTEEN is about the trials and tribulations they faced even before their debut on the series.

Now that you know how they got started, it’s time to dive deep into their discography. In honor of the release of their album 17 IS HERE In April, Woozi provided live commentary for Carats on Weverse.

Woozi is the main producer of SEVENTEEN’s music and the leader of the vocal group.

The live commentary gives Woozi the chance to reminisce about SEVENTEEN’s songs over the years. He even shared stories behind the songs he produced. One memorable moment he shared was the making of their hit “SUPER.”

He explains that during Face The Sun to Sector 17, their relationship was okay, but the vibe wasn’t good. It was a tough time for the group and Woozi wanted to overcome it like a superhero. That’s how “SUPER” was born.

SEVENTEEN: ON THE WAY is a documentary about SEVENTEEN’s Ode to you World Tour. Their preparations, personal insights and what happens backstage are included in the series.

The documentary is also an eye-opener: K-pop idols are just like other people. The group also shows the less glamorous side of the industry, such as overworking, reaching limits and physical exhaustion.

‘Turning seventeen’

Turning seventeen is a series of long form videos uploaded every Wednesday to SEVENTEEN’s YouTube channel. The concepts for the series change every few weeks and can be anything from challenges, group meetings, game shows, sketches, and even horror specials.

Some notable episodes include “Don’t Lie”, where the group plays the mafia game, “TTT”, where a glimpse is given of the group going on vacation together, “Insomnia Zero”, where members are allowed to go home early if they have the most stable heart rate while being exposed to the other members, and many more.

Each concept is divided into two or three episodes and is uploaded on consecutive Wednesdays.

‘Within Seventeen’

Within Seventeen contains vlogs from the SEVENTEEN members. The episodes range from behind-the-scenes footage of the group’s comeback or individual schedules of the members, such as photoshoots, events, reaction videos, and brand endorsements.

Episodes include the music video reaction sketch of “LALALI, Spell, Cheers to youth”, behind the scenes footage of SEVENTEEN To follow tour in Asia, and the “unit reverse” recording for SVT 8th fanmeeting SEVENTEEN in CARATLAND.

Whether you want to go for a walk with Seungkwan, tag along with Vernon as he prepares for a fashion show, or go on a date with Jeonghan in Paris, SVT record is the series you must follow if you want to become more intimate with the members.

SEVENTEEN x AFTER PD

SEVENTEEN also thrives on collaboration. A consistent Korean personality who collaborates with the boy band is the famous Korean television producer and director Na Young-seok, better known by his nickname Na PD.

Na PD is famous for its various shows such as the reality travel show Youth above flowersand reality cooking shows such as Youn’s kitchen And Three meals a day. He also made cameos in some episodes of famous K-drama shows such as Hospital Playlist And Answer 1994.

Notable episodes include: THE GAME CATERERS 2 x SEVENTEEN where the group shows their fun and competitive side by completing various tasks such as guessing who the artist is, answering fun facts to win a prize and even having a basketball game.

Another episode recommendation is The God of Gratitude – Thankful for SEVENTEEN where Na PD takes it upon himself to personally cook for SEVENTEEN in celebration of their comeback with “Maestro” in May 2024.

‘Nana tour’

Born from a Game Caterers 2 x SEVENTEEN episode where DK won Youth above flowersa reality show for the group, where contestants are told they are leaving the country only three hours before their flight, leaving without any luggage. Instead of using the show’s original title, it was renamed “Nana Tour.”

It starts with Na PD kidnapping SEVENTEEN after their concert in Tokyo and surprising them with a trip to Italy. Instead of challenges, this reality show is more of a vacation, with Na PD acting as their guide.

The series aired in South Korea on January 5 via tvN, but reruns of all episodes can be purchased and watched on Weverse.

‘In The Soop’ Seasons 1 & 2

Coming from BTS, In the soup is a reality series where idols take a break from their busy city lives and go on vacation to the forest, where they can spend time together, relax and enjoy their hobbies.

SEVENTEEN’s version of In the soup includes healthy moments such as group dinners where members talk to each other until late at night, a campfire, cooking together and much more.

The two seasons of the series are available for purchase and viewing via Weverse.

Lollapalooza Berlin performance

For Carats looking for an adrenaline rush, SEVENTEEN’s September 8th Lollapalooza Berlin performance was streamed live and uploaded to the festival’s channel. It can also be found on SEVENTEEN’s YouTube channel.

In one and a half hours, the K-pop boy group was able to perform 19 of their songs from their discography. Their popular songs such as “Super”, “HOT”, “Darl+ing” were on the setlist.

But wait, there’s more! They also sang their latest single “Maestro” and surprised everyone with “CHEERS” performed by the leading line S.COUPS, Hoshi and Woozi.

This is the first time that K-pop group SEVENTEEN will headline the festival.

SEVENTEEN is a K-pop boy band formed in 2015 under Pledis Entertainment. The group consists of S.COUPS, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino.
