Police find buried GISB textbooks in Kelantan raid

PETALING JAYA: Police have found numerous books related to the teachings of GISB Holdings (GISBH) buried near a river in Kampung Panji, Kota Baru, Kelantan.

The discovery was made as part of the ongoing Operation Global, following the arrest of GISBH’s CEO, as reported by New Straits Times.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain earlier reported that the GISBH CEO and his wife were among 19 people arrested in a raid at a Bukit Bintang complex.

Police suspect that a group member living near the village buried the books after the CEO’s arrest, and some books were also burned at the site.

The operation in Kelantan began at 7am, with police assisted by the Kelantan Social Welfare Department and the Kelantan Islamic Religious Affairs Department.

Reports say that 30 people, including 20 children, live in three houses near the village, many of whom are believed to be relatives of the CEO of GISBH.

This follows previous raids on 20 nursing homes allegedly linked to GISBH, which rescued 402 people, some as young as one year old.

The victims are said to have suffered various forms of exploitation and abuse, including sexual abuse. However, GISBH has denied these allegations.

Three people have been charged with child sexual abuse and have pleaded not guilty.
