Arson suspect wanted in Rowan County

CHINA GROVE, NC – According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a reported arson in China Grove in August.

It happened on August 18th at a home on Weaver Road. The victim’s security camera caught a suspect walking toward the home with a fuel can.

Officers said the victim was home at the time and was able to extinguish the fire. Damage was caused to an outbuilding and to the grille and hood of an F250 pickup truck, officials said.

This is believed to be an isolated incident.

No arrests have been made at this time.
