IGP denies senior officers taking ‘protection money’ from GISBH as claimed in viral TikTok video

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 — Claims that senior police officials received money from scandal-embroiled Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) are false and malicious, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain told Bernama today.

The Inspector General of Police denies the allegations circulating on social media, which are said to have arisen from a TikTok video in which several senior officers allegedly protect GISBH in exchange for money in their personal accounts.

“We know that this is a fake account spreading slander, and the claims about police officers with GISBH are untrue,” Razarudin was quoted as saying by the national news agency when contacted.

GISBH is at the center of a multi-agency investigation into suspicions of running a criminal organization involved in human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children in the name of religion.

On September 11, police raided properties linked to the company in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, rescuing more than 400 children. Razarudin later revealed that some of them had been sodomized and trained to sexually abuse other minors.

The raids, codenamed Op Global, have so far covered the whole of Malaysia and some 200 people, including senior GISBH executives, have been arrested and their assets frozen.
