Rawat – (Pothwar.com, Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi, September 23, 2024) – A centuries-old cemetery was desecrated by a land mafia using heavy equipment, vandalizing graves and scattering human remains across the area.

The local administration remains inactive. The caretaker of the Dhok Qazian Takht Pari shrine, Qazi Muhammad Imran, has filed a complaint with the Rawat police station.

He reported that Usman, along with 8 to 10 accomplices, used heavy equipment to destroy all the graves in an attempt to seize the land. When they tried to intervene, the armed attackers threatened to kill them.

The Rawat police have filed a case against the suspect and started an investigation.
