Job description

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Cyber ​​Security Analyst IV. You will serve as a Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst as part of the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Cybersecurity Operations Team in support of our DoD client to detect, monitor and report security posture in cyber operations, cybersecurity, assessment and authorization, compliance and mission assurance.

Essential duties of a job

• Must be able to work independently or function well in a team.
• Perform analysis of cybersecurity guidelines, policies and instructions including, but not limited to: Communications Task Orders (CTOs), Fragmentary/Task/Operation Orders (FRAG/TASK/OPORDs), IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) guidelines and STIG requirements.
• Ensure that current security testing and evaluation software is adequate for the task of performing infrastructure security testing and regularly identify and recommend additional software that can fill gaps in the current security testing toolset.
• Perform analysis of the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scans and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to assess the cybersecurity of the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) networks and systems.
• Provide subject matter expertise on known vulnerabilities and gain knowledge of recently disclosed vulnerabilities. Discuss methods of exploitation, methods of mitigation or remediation, severity of impact, and other relevant considerations related to vulnerabilities.
• Perform risk assessments/independent verifications on security configuration and STIG risk reports/POA&Ms for devices in the network.
• Identify applicable NIST 800-53 security controls or policies that correspond to findings identified through manual or automated testing, with a specific CVE, IT technologies, or other physical or logical issue.
• Perform compliance reporting
• Maintain vulnerability management processes
• Create custom scan/test configurations within test tools to meet security configuration requirements.
• Coordinate ASI details and scheduling as needed.
• Ensure system patches, operating systems and ESS STIG compliance.

Minimum qualifications

• Must have a US Secret security clearance
• Experience using DISA ACAS
• Meet DoD Cyber ​​IT/CSWF program requirements of DoD 8140.03 and SECNAV M-5239.2 at the Intermediate (IAT-II) level.
• COMPTIA Security+ CE certification
• 9 years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degrees in a related field OR
• 7 years of relevant experience with masters in a related field OR
• High school diploma or equivalent and 13 years of relevant experience

Physical requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, marine or laboratory environment. Ability to climb ladders and handle confined spaces and extreme temperature changes.
