Bret Michaels Shares First Public Reaction to Rikki Rockett’s New Band After Reunion Clash

Bret Michaels has shared his reaction to his bandmate Rikki Rockett’s new band, The Rockett Mafia.

“I just wanted to take a moment to wish Rikki Rockett the best on his new project,” the Poison singer wrote on social media.

The drummer first announced the project on September 18, sharing the band’s name and lineup: Brandon Gibbs, Mick Sweda, and Bryan Kimes. After the announcement was made on September 16, the rocker released a statement to share his feelings about the feedback he’s been receiving.

The announcement, however, came amid the reunion drama with Michaels. After the drummer posted on social media that his bandmate “didn’t want” to do the 2025 shows, Michaels responded with a statement.

“To clear up any confusion, I want to make it clear to all of my amazing family, friends and fans, who I am eternally grateful for, that it is no secret that I have previously stated that I plan on performing a limited number of shows in 2025 to primarily focus on my health, starting with my diabetes that needs some maintenance, not to mention a little R&R as everyone knows my tireless work ethic and passion for performing music, as well as some much needed personal family time… as I said recently, I am like a classic muscle car – still fast and still fun to drive, just need a little more maintenance lol,” he wrote.

The drummer has not yet responded to Michaels’ comment.
