Expert says combating resurgence of Somali piracy requires holistic approach

Maritime piracy along the Somali coast is set to spike in 2024 as root causes on land remain largely unresolved and international support has waned, said Carina Bruwer, senior researcher at Transnational Organised Crime Southern Africa.
