Man accused of exploiting minor faces new charges, Randolph County officials say

RANDOLPH COUNTY, NC (WGHP) — A man arrested earlier this year during a sex crime investigation is facing new charges, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said.

On April 11, officers received a report of a possible sexual offense involving a minor.

Investigators later filed charges against 21-year-old Andrew Sanchez on three counts of rape of a minor.

On July 8, Sanchez was found by detectives on West Fairfield Road in High Point. He was taken to the detention center and given a warrant.

In September, the police judge ruled that there was a reasonable suspicion of two charges of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree.

On Monday, he was served with the new arrest warrant out of Randolph County, setting a $25,000 bond.
