Venezuelan prosecutors call for red alert for Milei

Attorney General Tarek William Saab on Tuesday requested the activation of the Interpol red alert against the president of ArgentinaJavier Milei and two senior officials from his government.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office has submitted a formal request to Interpol concerning a case of crime involving both local and transnational spheres, in violation of the conventions against organized crime. This criminal act cannot be attributed to an isolated event.

According to Saab, the Argentine government’s recent actions against Venezuela are the result of “retaliation or revenge” in response to the actions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the case of the “theft of the Venezuelan aircraft.”

According to Saab, the Venezuelan government acted legally by taking action against the perpetrator of the theft of the Emtrasur aircraft.

“The action of the Prosecutor’s Office was ordered by a competent court and made public by the TSJ. The reaction of Milei’s government is unrestrained and unbalanced, as they have no right to steal an aircraft,” he said.

Investigations are underway into alleged crimes committed through the website, which is now almost established in Venezuela, and several names of alleged perpetrators have already been identified.
