Illegal immigration is destroying our country

IIllegal immigration is destroying our country. I am not the only one shouting that the sky is collapsing.

Last September, New York City Mayor Eric Adams spoke about how 110,000 illegal immigrants were affecting the Big Apple. “Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. I’ve never had a problem in my life that I didn’t see an end to,” Adams said. “I don’t see an end to this. I don’t see an end to this. This issue is going to destroy New York City. Destroy New York City.”

That 110,000 figure is a drop in the ocean. A story posted on Fox News on February 20 of this year reported that “nearly 7.2 million migrants have illegally crossed the southwest border under President Biden’s administration, a number larger than the populations of 36 individual states.” That story was fact-checked by Snopes.com and given a “true” rating. That number doesn’t include the 1.5 million known “gotaways.”

During this time, Democrats across the board, including Vice President Kamala Harris and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, have repeatedly claimed that the border is secure. This would be like the captain of the Titanic telling his passengers they have nothing to worry about.

The latest city in the news to be overrun by illegals is Springfield, Ohio. With a population of just 56,000, more than 15,000 Haitian immigrants have invaded the city. Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy held a rally there on Thursday.

Crime in Springfield has increased. “In this city alone, shoplifting has doubled in the last two years,” Ramaswamy said. “Auto thefts have increased 50 percent in the same period.”

Hundreds of residents spoke at the meeting about how afraid they are for their safety. One woman shared her experience with an illegal immigrant who chased her and her daughter down the street with a machete. Her daughter was also stalked by an illegal immigrant in Walmart. She gave up on reporting the crime after waiting two hours.

A 2021 Department of Justice report found that 64 percent of federal arrests in 2018 were of noncitizens, despite the fact that they made up just 7 percent of the population at the time. The Biden administration has failed to update this report.

The Texas Department of Public Safety maintains a database of non-citizen crimes in the Lone Star State. The report states: “Between June 1, 2011, and August 31, 2024, 312,000 illegal non-citizens (as classified by the Department of Homeland Security) were charged with more than 542,000 offenses, including arrests for 1,006 murder charges; 69,515 assault charges; 9,736 burglary charges; 63,438 drug charges; 1,277 kidnapping charges; 27,292 theft charges; 42,259 obstructing police charges; 3,093 robbery charges; 6,850 assault charges; 7,882 sex charges; and 6,696 weapons charges.”

These are numbers for Texas. Imagine what it’s like for the rest of the country.

Democrats and left-wing media outlets keep telling us that immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than U.S.-born citizens. Try explaining that to the residents of Aurora, Colorado, where last month a video showed armed Venezuelan gang members taking over an apartment building. Aurora, unfortunately, is a suburb of Denver, Colorado’s capital, and a sanctuary city.

The Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang is now setting up shop on Chicago’s South Side, where they’re clashing with local black gangs, all with the help of Uncle Sam. Zacc Massie, a local Chicago gang member, told the New York Post last week, “They’re moving into our territory and robbing people, but they’re not getting arrested like we are. I actually spoke to one of them through the translator app. He told me everything he did; how they helped him get a car, an apartment, an (EBT) card, all that stuff. They give them thousands, we get maybe $400 a month.”

It is a well-known fact that drug cartels in Mexico have exploited the immigration crisis at our southern border to divert agents from drug trafficking, making fentanyl overdoses the leading cause of death among American adults between the ages of 18 and 45.

Finally, according to the Federation For American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the net cost of illegal immigration to the United States in 2023 “at the federal, state, and local levels will be at least $150.7 billion.”

Illegal immigration is ruining our country, and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are to blame. If you want to see illegal immigration curtailed, vote for Trump. If you don’t care about America, vote for Harris.
