Queen Creek man charged with child sexual exploitation

A 31-year-old Queen Creek man has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.

Maricopa County District Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced the charges against Cody Brett Weaver on September 19, after a Maricopa County grand jury indicted him on three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a dangerous second-degree felony and a dangerous child offense.

In late April, Queen Creek police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about Weaver.

“The tip contained information about images and videos that depicted the sexual exploitation of a minor,” according to a press release from the Maricopa County District Attorney’s Office.

A search warrant was served on Weaver’s home and he was subsequently arrested and booked into jail by the QCPD in June.

No date has yet been set for the trial.
