Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon Shares Photos With New Boyfriend Darrin Kitchens… Following Josh Efird’s Divorce Filing

Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon is wasting no time after filing for divorce from her husband of six years, Josh Efird.

The 24-year-old Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star shared two photos with her new boyfriend Darrin Kitchens at a country music concert on her Facebook page.

“And then you have something to talk about,” she captioned the photos. ‘Koe Wetzel with my favorite plus one ❤️.’

Kitchens also shared the adorable snaps, adding, “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else on a Saturday night.”

The couple debuted footage from a Zach Bryan concert on August 10, just a week after Mama June Shannon’s daughter filed for divorce.

Darrin is a native of Macon, Georgia and appears to have been married and divorced at least three times as of 2020 to a woman named Shannon Kitchens.

Pumpkin filed for divorce on August 2 and the documents showed that the marriage had ‘irretrievably broken down’.

Furthermore, at the time of the filing, the now-former couple had already decided on “all matters of divorce, custody, visitation, child support, division of property, alimony, and division of debts.”

Pumpkin and Josh share four children – Ella, six, Bentley, three, and twins Sylus and Stella, two – and are said to be amicably co-parenting.

In documents obtained by People, the couple agreed to have joint custody because they believe it is in the best interest of their children and that they have a parenting plan.

In 2016, at the age of 16, Pumpkin got engaged to Josh after nine months of dating. A year later they welcomed their first child, daughter Ella. They married the following year at The Chapel at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Their relationship was well documented on Pumpkin’s mother’s reality TV shows, Mama June: Family Crisis and Mama June: Road to Redemption.

Josh has also moved on and is in a relationship with a woman named Keely. While Mama June: From Not to Hot is currently in production, the outlet reported that neither Pumpkin nor Josh, 28, plan to have their significant others appear on their show.

The Shannon family rose to fame when Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Shannon and Mama June starred in Toddlers & Tiaras.

They then made a big splash with the TLC reality TV show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which launched in 2012 and went off the air in 2014 after Mama June was seen with Mark Anthony McDaniel, a man who served 10 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated child abuse in 2004 and who is a registered sex offender.

This prompted Mama June to admit that Pumpkin’s father was not McDaniel, as previously mentioned.

Her real father was Michael Anthony Ford, another convicted sex offender who served a prison sentence for sexual exploitation of minors after being caught on To Catch a Predator in 2005.
