Lexington man charged with sexual exploitation of minor

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — A Lexington County man is accused of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

Jonathan Belt, 33, is charged with five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to the arrest warrants, between May 18, 2022 and April 11, 2024, Belt possessed material depicting a minor engaging in sexual activity.

As a result of a search warrant, a Samsung phone was found and photographs were found depicting minors in sexually explicit positions and performing sex acts, the incident report said.

Belt was charged on September 25 and booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.
