US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems eXtended (US BICES-X) is an advanced program to support DoD intelligence sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally distributed team supporting every combatant command, the U.S. BICES-X team directly supports the warfighter and their missions. We are looking for a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real-world problems in a cross-functional, fast-paced team. We are looking for a System Administrator who can work independently – read below!

Daily schedule: Mon-Fri 0600-1400 Responsibilities:
• Manage VMware virtual environments including ESXi hosts, vCenter appliances, VxRail HCIs and VSANs
• Creates and maintains detailed system documentation.
• Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
• Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always seeking new technologies and working with management to develop current processes.
• Download, prepare, and deploy system-related security policies and updates to ensure information system compliance with DISA security policies and procedures (STIGs, IAVAs, etc.)
• Develop scripts (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) to perform recurring system administration tasks, automate installations, collect statistics, etc.
• Management of Microsoft Active Directory environments with emphasis on the following areas:
• Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019
•Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2016
• Windows SharePoint 2013, 2016
•Microsoft SQL 2012, 2014, 2016
• Implementation and design of group policies
• Active directory design with DNS configuration, sites and services, etc.
• SCCM configuration and management
• Software implementation/upgrades
• Maintenance and implementation of the Windows 10 operating system
• Deploy operating system updates
• Participates in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience required.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI approval.
• Experience with infrastructure including but not limited to: data center operations, server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), web servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat), databases (MS SQL, MySQL, postgreSQL),
VDI virtual desktop infrastructure, virtualization (VMware), networking, storage, monitoring, etc.
• Experience in infrastructure design and implementation, including load balancing app/DB clustering, firewall rules, failover, monitoring, diagnostics and performance tuning, etc.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends and holiday hours as necessary
• Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT Level II access upon appointment to positions of elevated privileges and obtain ITIL V3 or ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of appointment.
• Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:

The likely salary range for this position is $66,602 – $80,500. However, this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and may fall outside this range. Total compensation for international roles varies depending on tax, social security and immigration status, as well as location. In general, an international assignment may include allowances, premium increases, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, in addition to the stated base salary.
